82.9% of eligible voters in the Oldham local election did not vote for Labour

Oldham Labour Council leader Jean Stretton stated that the election result showed that people continued to “trust us with looking after this borough and its future”. Here’s some perspective for Jean just 17.1% of eligible voters in Oldham voted for Labour leaving 82.9% who either didn’t vote at all or voted for another party. Of course the local elections results played out as expected but wasn’t it great to see Labour’s Abdul Malik who was given a suspended prison sentence in 2017 getting over 90% more votes than any other candidate in Coldhurst & convicted benefits fraudster Labour’s Ali Salamat also getting over 90% more votes than any other candidate in St Mary’s. It really does speak volumes!
