After just four years of freedom of movement Romania has replaced Poland as the second most common country of birth for non-UK-born fathers and the third for non-UK-born mothers

Romania rose up the rankings and replaced Poland as the second most common country of birth for foreign-born fathers and the third for non-UK-born mothers in the UK in 2018 just 4 years after being granted full EU freedom of movement rights. Don’t expect the Oldham press or the Labour council to ever mention on top of birth rates the 1000% increase in foreign born school children in Oldham which occurred during the same time period and wiped out all of the boroughs spare school capacity.
