Distraction thefts on the increase in Oldham

Greater Manchester Police announcement “We are currently seeing an increase in distraction theft from persons in the Oldham area. It is reported that males are targeting elderly members of the public, approaching them and producing a map which they place over items of value. Whilst asking for directions the males use this as a distraction to steal items.
Please be vigilant and ensure that items of value are not on show.
Please pass this on to elderly members of your family and report any suspicious activity to 101.”

Targeting people by age clearly should be considered as an hate crime but sadly it is not as the elderly are increasingly disenfranchised by a youth obsessed political elite.
