Oldham’s immigration hotspot recorded a 22% increase in the number of children in tax credit recipient families in just 2 years

More evidence of the impact of recent high fertility immigration on both the benefit system and early years provision. Government tax credit figures show that in the 2 years between August 2014 and August 2016 (latest figures) the number of children in tax credit recipient families in the 024A area of the Alexandra ward grew by 22%, in the 019A area of Waterhead by 16% and in the 019C area of Waterhead by 14%. While the local politicians and press continue to suppress the impact of uncontrolled immigration and people’s life-long reliance on benefits i’m afraid poverty in England’s poorest town will continue to expand.
