Despite already spending well over £42 million of public cash on the town hall cinema, a development originally supposed to cost £10 million, Oldham Labour Council are spending another undisclosed amount over £250,000 to fit out the Egyptian room which has remained unoccupied for over 3 years. No wonder Labour Oldham changed the way they publish their accounts in 2018 solely to stop websites like Chronic-Oldham from accurately tracking their uncontrolled spending on vanity projects.
