More debt for Oldham as the local press publish the updated delivery schedule for Princes Gate but leave out that Oldham Council are self developing

Unreported in the recent Oldham Chronicle article on an updated delivery schedule for Princes Gate was that in the same documents cash strapped Oldham Council, who are increasing Council Tax by almost 4%, has stated “the optimum procurement solution for the development of the Prince‟s Gate Scheme is for the Council to procure this development itself” So once again we have another Labour Oldham Council scheme with absolutely no private sector financial interest which is to be funded by the ever dwindling numbers of unsubsidised tax payers of Oldham and decades of loan debt including a £9 million contribution towards M&S business costs to fit out it’s premises and six months free rent.
