£157,500 of prudential loan cash to resurface five Town Centre footpaths damaged by vehicular parking

Oldham’s Labour Council is spending £157,500 of prudential loan cash on resurface five Town Centre footpaths, which have been damaged by vehicular parking, with a stronger material rather than preventing parking on footways with bollards or parking restriction enforcement. The Council has borrowed a total of £1,315,000 for Metrolink highway & footway work in 2014/15. The staggering true cost of Oldham Labour Council’s debt from borrowing including PFI now stands the borough at almost two fifths of a billion.
