The ruling Labour group secure just 13.4% of eligible Oldham votes in the local election as two thirds decide not to vote at all

Showing just how disengaged Oldham residents are with politics and the antics of politicians many of whom are attempting to circumvent the democratic process & push their own ideological agendas. Labour candidates secured just 13.4% of eligible Oldham votes in the local elections, Independents excluding “Saddleworth First” secured 5.4%, the Lib Dems 4.5%, the Conservatives 4%, the Greens 1.3% & Saddleworth First 1.1%. A massive 67% of eligible Oldham voters did not vote at all.
