Theft from person in Oldham has increased by 26% in the last year and shoplifting by 16%

Crime figures for England and Wales published today for the year to September 2016 show that public order crime in Oldham has increased by 26.9%, theft from person by 25.5%, shoplifting by 16%, Miscellaneous crimes against society by 13.8%, bicycle theft up 12.3%, Violence without injury up 11.3%, robbery up 10.5%, Possession of weapons offences up 7.1%. Drug offences saw the biggest fall with 32.3% fewer crimes.

In the last three years public order offences have increased by 160.8%, Violence without injury by 139.5%, sexual offences by 76.8% and theft from person by 74.8% the biggest reduction was once again in drug offences which fell by 45%.
