Over the year to mid-2015 the number of people resident in the UK increased by 513,300 (up 0.8%), similar to the average annual increase seen over the last decade. The population of England increased by 469,700 (up 0.86%) to 54,786,300 and accounts for 84% of the UK’s population” That is 91.5% of the increase occuring in England.
