What did we learn from the local Oldham elections?

What did we learn from the local Oldham elections? We learned that wards which elected councillors with a share of over 50% of the total votes cast; all elected Labour Councillors and were within areas with the highest rates of children, the highest levels of total out-of-work benefit claims & all had received or were due to receive the highest comparable ward rates of beneficial regeneration spending. Labour Oldham biggest local election wins were: Coldhurst 77.8%, St Mary’s 82.2%, Werneth 90.3%, the average winning vote for the other 18 Oldham Council seats was just 39.6%
