Excluding refugees, asylum seekers and children nearly 7,000 adult migrants arrived in Oldham in 2022 and 2023

Nearly 4,000 new adult migrants registered as living in Oldham in 2023 and 6,872 in 2022 & 2023 the two years with highest numbers ever recorded. These numbers don’t include asylum seekers, refugees or dependent children. Remember these figures when Oldham Labour Council say they will deal with the housing crisis by building 11,000 new homes over the next 20 years. 11,000 homes wouldn’t clear the current shortfall in housing let alone deal with natural population growth and then accommodate tens of thousands of new migrants going forward. The tories have absolutely failed the country on immigration with England increasing its lead as the most densely populated large country in Europe every single year. Lunacy!
